Best Target for the Money

For this season I’ve upgraded from my low poundage slow shooting bow to a higher poundage fast shooting bow. What do you know, getting that time of year to get her dialed in and the arrows blow right through my old target. So now I’m in the market for a new one. What’s the best block style target for the money? I don’t mind spending the extra $$$ as long as it’s worth it.

I’ve got a Cody glass that I’ve had forever and a popular/persimmon Long Creek slate that is my absolute favorite so far.

What to expect in size of deer

I picked up a lease in Cumberland County. Some of the guys are wanting to impose at least a 120" minimum. It is over 700 acres and will probably only be hunted moderately during gun season. Other than that myself and maybe one other will be bowhunting it.

Do you think 120" minimum is good or do you think we’ll just watch a ton of 100" deer walk by?

Your thoughts are appreciated….Thanks

Crossbow question

Anybody have one for sale. My reconstructed shoulder just won’t pull a bow….even a kids bow. I have the exemption but 6 or 8 hundred on a bow will likely get me nowhere at home! Any help?

Summer Crappie

It’s been a really great year for crappie on Brownlee Reservoir on the Snake River in E.Oregon. Lots of 10-11″ white & black crappie. This catch was made yesterday by a party of 3, 218 fish in 4 hours. Best cycle of crappie we’ve had in the last 15 years by far.
