hi I’ve been trying to do some scouting in the mokeulmne wilderness by blue lakes in devils corral and summi city. I’ve gone out three days in a row now yesterday bing the most brutal day Sunday I saw a couple does but was really just checking out the area and it was 2 in the afternoon Monday I saw four does about noon on my way out and yesterday started hiking around 515 am hike to fourth of July lake and back to upper blue lake. I know this area holds trophy bucks just gotta find them. my question is why am I seeing them moving in the trees a noon and not at all in. morning? yesterday I glassed more than I have ever glassed without finding any deer it’s all thick buck brush and trees I even tried pushing through the brush on my way out justto see if I could jump a deer. I would like to use a gam cam but have no idea where to put it short of one of the ten thousand trails out there but there is so much water it’s hard to find any one spot they use they seem to use it all. Ima go scout couple of new areas the rest f the week but anyone have any advice? I would approcoate advice for setting up a cam or why these deer arnt on open hillside in the am and I can only find them in the tress late afternoon. thanks in advance guys

Blanton at CT Cabelas

Anyone going to the Archery Classic that’s this weekend at Cabelas in Hartford, CT?? It says David Blanton is supposed to be there.

Michigan Fan, a serious question.

Okay, so I won’t go into how my Buckeyes own the Blowverines, or how they fired a coach who was basically Tressel’s doormat only to hire a guy who was classy enough to stab his alma matre in the back, all for the sake of running some gimmick offense that was created by mid-major schools to suit the few under-sized QBs who they could actually convince to play for them…because that’s already been well documented. So why pour salt in the already gaping open wound, right?

But I would like to know how you feel about losing Ryan Mallett because of that dbag coach of your’s and his gimmick offense. So, how do you feel?

Kid’s 6’7" and could throw a ball through a brick wall, finished #7 in the nation in passer efficiency with a 152.46 rating, 3,624 yards and 30 TDs vs. 7 INTs. The pro scouts have to be salivating over this guy…wow.

I’m guessing he would have been one heckuva fit in Carr’s pro-style offense. When a program runs a pro style offense, it’s funny how pro caliber QB want to leave their home state and play at your program too. It’s also funny, how when you fire a guy who runs a pro style offense and hire a guy who runs some Pop Warner spread/option attack how quickly these big time QBs currently under scholarship leave your school.

Be honest with yourselves…this all has to sting real bad, right?

22-250 bullets

I am looking for a factory load for my 22-250 that does not skin and gut everything I shoot with it. I was thinking of trying the Federal TNT greens, I think it uses the Barnes Varmint grenade, any advice or experience would be appreciated. The exit wound on the last fox I shot was well let’s just say not repairable.

Pet Peeve…..Rant

So, my biggest pet peeve is chewing with your mouth open or just hearing chewing going on in general. So, for the past couple of weeks I have a new hire sitting in my office using my spare computer. This guy is a big guy and he eats, he eats a lot and he eats all the dang time. I am getting sick of it. As soon as he gets in he eats cherry tomatoes followed by a sandwich zip lock bag full of cookies, Then within an hour or so, its on to a bag of chips and sluping of his coke. Then the apple comes out. Shoot me now!

Got a question for the dog people

I just adopted a Min Pin. She stays at the house from 8am to 6pm. She likes to chew the crap out of stuff. Read here http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100204

My question is this, what can I do to train her not to chew on stuff? We have bought her toys but she don’t pay them any attention. Also, is it still possible to house train her even though she is almost a year old? We have a doggy door but she doesn’t like it too much.
